Asian Beef And Noodles: Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound of lean ground beef

1/2 small red bell pepper - chopped

4 green onions - chopped

The juice of one lime

8 oz of thin spaghetti

Optional: peas, carrots and/or corn


Stir Fry Sauce

2/3 cup of soy sauce

1/2 cup of chicken broth

1/4 cup of rice wine vinegar

3 1/2 tablespoons of sugar

1 tablespoon of sesame - or olive - oil

2 tablespoons of cornstarch

1/4 cup of water

2 teaspoons of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of ground ginger powder



Asian Beef And Noodles: Method

  • Bring a large of pot of water to a boil. Add a tablespoon of oil and 1 tsp. of salt to the water. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Add the green onions and the bell pepper - and other vegetables if using - and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • In a medium size bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, chicken broth, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil and spices. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water.
  • In a saucepan on medium-high heat, add the oil and warm up. Add the soy sauce mixture. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook - stirring the whole time - until the sauce boils and thickens. Remove from the stove.
  • Drain the pasta.
  • Mix the meat and the sauce.


Serve some pasta onto a plate and place some of Asian ground beef on top...enjoy!
